Asimov is renowned for his Foundation trilogy, considered one of the most important works in science fiction, and winner of a 1965 special Hugo Award for best all-time series. Foundation's Edge was written 30 years after Second Foundation, after all, and it shows. Foundation's Edge was not a favorite, nor did I actively dislike it. In the third book of the original Foundation series, Second Foundation, Arcadia Darrell tries to escape from Kalgan and get to Trantor.
